A Tea shop in Eugene, OR that specializes in Oolong Tea and Puer Tea and a really nice selection of aged teas as well as some "daily drinker" teas that he blends and sells in groceries around town. He's been importing tea to the US from Taiwan and Yunnan for almost 20 years and has a tearoom in Eugene that I have been visiting for a social tea tasting every Tuesday.

Split a cake with James after it came up on the tasting menu and we both were stuck on it for like two weeks afterward.
This raw puer has distinct woody and earthy notes with a resinous aroma and a cool mouthfeel. It is one of the best sellers in the shop. Delicious and highly enjoyable while remaining lower in price. The fact that this batch was pressed rough and rugged with slightly less consistency, and the fact that it is not branded with a label makes this tea less likely to command top dollar regardless of the quality.

1989 Aged Baozhong

I bought an ounce of this on a lark, because of how much I like other baozhong like Baozhong Farmer's Choice from Farmer Chen and Floating Leaves Tea.
Like an old scotch. Earthy and complex. Smooth and gentle remaining dry and brittle on the tongue, rolling supply off the sides to sweet, viscus, and eventually slight sour. Though not caffeine free, this tea is outstanding for night time sipping. Due largely to the way that the caffeine changes as does the plant, overall much more gentle than its fresh counterpart.
