The Lions Rear

Very Short Introductions

Contents

A collection of Books providing a high-level review of a Topic. Some of them are good, some of them are a bit of a tough read, to be honest. I think they might be useful though to provide a basic foundation of history and theory. There's a lot of them. But I could read through these things really quickly, maybe in an afternoon for the ones that are a bit tougher to get through on my reMarkable Tablet.

Very Short Introductions (VSI) is a book series published by the Oxford University Press (OUP). The books are concise introductions to particular subjects, intended for a general audience but written by experts. Most are under 200 pages long. While authors may present personal viewpoints, the books are meant to be "balanced and complete" as well as thought provoking.
